Kin Canada

Kin Canada is the oldest “All Canadian” service organization in existence today. It was founded in 1920 by a group of men returning from the war, who were looking for a way to recreate the comradery they experienced in the military.

These men soon found that although they truly enjoyed their time together, they needed more, and thus began service projects within the community. So began the theme of “Service through Fellowship”, which holds true today.

Kin CanadaKin Canada has also focused on creating leaders, by providing a forum for individuals to develop leadership skills and apply them within the community. Through active positions on the Club executive to chairing projects, skills are developed and applied. Individual development as well as possibilities for involvement at the provincial and national level makes Kin Canada a great organization for employers to encourage employee involvement.

Kin Canada’s motto is “Serving the Community’s Greatest Need”, and we are proud to say that we have been doing so, coast-to-coast for 89 years. Through these years we have only created one partnership, being with the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Because of this partnership, we are proud to say that Canada is the world leader in Cystic Fibrosis.
